Research Abstract

本研究では、共同研究者が[Ni(tmdt)_2] (tmdt=trimethylenetetrathiafulvalenedithiolate)の磁気量子振動の観測に成功し、電子とホールからなる三次元的なフェルミ面の存在を確認した。第一原理擬ポテンシャル法と局所密度近似(LDA)を用いたバンド構造計算によりもとまったFermi面の断面積は、磁気量子振動測定実験の結果と比較し、角度依存性も含め、実験結果を良く再現した。この実験により、この中性単一成分分子が金属であることを実験的に完全に証明することができた。金錯体はニッケル錯体と同様平面四配位である。しかしニッケル錯体と異なり分子全体で奇数電子を1個持つ。拡張型TTF骨格を持つジチオレン金錯体[Au(tmdt)_2]を合成し、その磁化率、ESRを測定した。^1HNMRの測定の結果、反強磁性相転移を示す緩和率の発散と,二次モーメントの急激な立ち上がりが110Kに観測された。電気伝導度測定および第一原理バンド計算からこの単一成分分子は三次元金属で、4KまでFermi面が消えずに残っており、金属的伝導性を示すこと、また三次元Fermi面はa^*/2をnesting vectorとする擬一次元的なFermi面を擁していることがわかった。反強磁性転移温度が高い理由は,詳しい電子状態の計算から、三次元性が強い事によると結論出来た。Ni, Auと同形構造をもつ[Pd(tmdt)_2], [Pt(tmdt)_2]を合成した。[Pt(tmdt)_2]は粉末試料でも4Kまで金属的な伝導度を示す珍しい分子物質である。
