Research Abstract

昨年度までの研究により、純Zrと純Cuの積層体に対して室温でARBプロゼスにより強ひずみ加工を行なうと、界面近傍で原子レベルの混合が生じて部分的に金属ガラスが生じること、さらにARB材を400℃近傍で熱処理すると、試料の多くの部分が金属ガラスになることを明らかにした。しかしながら、ARBでは付与できるひずみ量に限りがあり、金属ガラス化が部分的に限られることも判明した。そこで本年度は、Zr/Cu他の純金属接合体に対してHPTプロセスを用いて相当ひずみ最大1000に至る大加工を室温で行なった。その結果、20回転以上めKPT加工により、試料全面が金属ガラス化することを見出した。
大過冷却制御によるバルク化に関しては、本年度はおもにZr-Cu系の過冷融液中における結晶相の成長「速度を測定した。2元系Zr-Cu系では、1)Zr50Cu50組成では、平衡相であるZrCu化合物は核生成せず、過冷融液からZr2Cu化合物が初晶として成長する、2)A1の添加によりZrCu化合物が核生成し、初晶となるが、成長速度はlmm/s以下である、3)Zr66Cu33組成においてZr2Cu化合物が初晶として成長したが、成長速度は1Omm/s以下である。Zr-Ni系の結果と比較し、Zr-Cu系の成長速度は遅く、ガラス化に有利な系であった。金型鋳造のシミュレーション結果も含めてガラス化プロセスを検討し、Zr-Ni-Al系、Zr-Cu-Al系は鋳型との界面で核生成しても内部にはガラス相を形成できる系であると結論づけられた。
