Research Abstract

現代日本社会において過去5年間に成人男女が何らかの法律問題を経験する割合は約19%である。これは英国と比べても小さいとは言えない。また、相手方との接触も問題経験者の73%が行っており、接触を回避する一般的傾向は見られない(米国と同様、リスクのある場合には接触は避けられる)。紛争の発生も問題経験者の40%が経験しており少ないとは言えない。問題経験には多数の変数が有意に相関しているが擬似R2の値は小さく、予測変数としては大きな意味はない。相手方と接触するかどうかには、問題類型のほか、社会経済的要因や法接触経験、および状況的変数が有意に相関しているが、紛争発生の有無には、社会経済的要因は有意に相関していない。
