Research Abstract |
The project conducts research and development activities of global learning system model as a distance education using information and communication technology, in order to nurture advanced professionals which are essential for sustainable economic growth in Asia. The project activities contribute to enhancement of MBA education in Asia. To develop such learning system The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow, a 21st century organization (ABEST21) was established as a global knowledge network organization in cooperation with respective business schools of Fudan University and Northeastern University of China, Moscow State University of Russia, Korea University of Korea, S.P. Jain Center of Management of Singapore, Multimedia University of Malaysia, Carnegie Mellon University and University of Texas at Austin of U.S.A. ABEST21 has developed learning system as well as education materials. For educational materials in particular, ABEST21 developed about 30 cases covering five information system areas of Corporate Business Management, Finance, Marketing, Accounting, and Operations, in cooperation with business schools from seven countries. After careful selection, the top 10 excellent cases were prepared as ABEST21-REVIEW. Educational program based on this educational material was developed and global learning system was developed to ensure the quality of education at business schools. The international significance of this research is to build a global knowledge network by sharing the "knowledge" among top business schools in Asia, and to develop educational system to nurture human resources required for sustainable growth in Asia, especially for e-commerce, international business and finance education which are indispensable for MBA education in Asia, jointly with Asian universities. We believe that global learning system model aiming to create the value of Asia contributes to development of advanced education in Asia.
