Research Abstract

We have investigated cavity polariton properties of CuCl quantum dots in (λ/4) HfO_2/(λ/4) SiO_2 distributed Bragg reflectors. This micro-cavity has very large splitting between upper and lower polariton modes, which is estimated to be 160 meV. From the analysis of angle dependence of the cavity polaritons, it is estimated that the oscillatorstrength of exciton of CuCl quantum dots in the micro-cavity is larger 40 times than that of only CuCl quantum dots. Under the higher excitation density, the free exciton luminescence shows super-linear dependence and new luminescence band appears abruptly at 3.17eV. These results suggest the generation of the coherently collective excitation states in 1-D micro-cavity.
