| Research Abstract |
Investigator studied the effects of medical Qi-gong therapy (AST-Qi-gong) on clinical course, clinical effects, prognosis, terminal pain, complications and quality of life of cancer patients using pathological methods. Heat shock protein expression was also investigated.
Investigation was performed using biopsy tissue before AST-Qi-gong therapy and surgical material tissue after AST-Qi-gong therapy.
AST-Qi-gong induces an expression of cytokine related with oncogene and induces an apoptosis in the cancer cells from patients of gastrointestinal cancer after AST-Qi-gong. therapy. Heat shock protein is also induced after AST-Qi-gong therapy. These observation has reported in papers and these papers are studies of pathological investigation about the effects of Qi-gong therapy on cancers. These studies are important for one of the therapeutic mechanism of AST-Qi-gong for cancers. Moreover, clinical course after surgery, complication, quality of life showed good effects of Qi-gong therapy on patients.
AST-Qi-gong therapy has been reported about the effects on cancer, circulatory disturbance, inflammation, benign tumor, grip strength and eye view potential, hitherto. Including these observations, AST-Qi-gong is very useful for the therapy for cancer patients with using modern medicine.
