| Research Abstract |
1.In Hokkaido and Oita Prefecture. We investigated the history of the fish breeding forest and its present conditions, and analyzed it.
2.WAKANA introduced the research results to the public (WAKANA Hiroshi, The beginning of the ideas of "Uotsuki-rin", fish breeding forest, and its material cycle in Japan, Journal of Water and Environmental Issues, Vol.17, pp.53-62,2004.;The tree-planting activities of fishermen and its historical background, Norin-Toukei-Chosa, Vol.55,No.10,pp.10-17,2005). And he reported about the cycle of matter between the land and the sea which the idea of the fish breeding forest in Japan from 17^<th> century showed (the 50th Annual Conference of Hokkaido Society for the Study of Education, in Sapporo,2006).

4.TAKASHIMA did the practice of the community learning plan in the eastern Hokkaido. He introduced that research results to the public (KINOSHITA Ikue. TAKASHIMA Yukio. KOMIYAMA Eishige. & OKUYAMA Kiyoshi., 'What Environments of the River and its Watersides are, as Places for the River Exploration Activity, very well?', Research Journal of Rural Education, No.60,pp.13-32,2005). And TAKASHIMA reported about the Study of "Uotsuki-rin" (fish breeding forest) to develop the Lesson Plan for the Environmental Education (the 50th Annual Conference of Hokkaido Society for the Study of Education, in Sapporo,2006).
