Research Abstract |
Dynamics of a single domain wall in artificiaily structured magnetic wires has been investigated. Summary of this research results is as follows ; (1)An artificial structure introduced in a magnetic wire can be work as a pinning potential against a domain wall motion. (2)This pinning potential can work as an ideal single potential barrier against a domain wall motion. (3)Domain wall velocity as a function of an external magnetic field was determined. (4)In a magnetic wire with asymmetric structure, the depinning field of a domain wall depends on the direction of domain wall motion.
