The following is the main results of this research into the Haute-Normandie's marechaussee in the first half of 18th century. (See the Report of this research) First, after drawing up a liste of men of Haute-Normandie's marechaussee in the first half of 18th century, entitled "Liste des hommes de la marechaussee en Haute-Normandie (1720-1750)", we published il. Finally, we examined a habitants receptivity to the royal power by giving attention to the relation between the habitants and the marechaussee. The fruits were prepared as a paper entitled "Local habitants and the marechaussee : their defender or oppressor?". We will contribute these three papers to journals in the near futur.
