Research Abstract

多角入射分解分光法(MAIRS)は,仮想的な縦波光を考え,従来の計測理論にはない回帰式による理論構築を用いた,他に例の無い薄膜解析のための分光測定法である.本萌芽研究では,この新しい概念に基づくMAIRS法を実験的に確立するとともに,応用範囲を探索する目的で2年間の検討を行った.
MAIRS法を実験技術として確立するため,赤外分光法に適用して理論どおりの動作が実現するかどうかを確かめた,これにはFT・IRの光学系の特長を生かして実験を行い,また基板の光学的性質も選んだ結果,MAIRS法の理論で予測されたとおりのスペクトルを得ることに成功した.
従来法では,基板の面内および面外方向のスペクトルを得るため,透明および金属といった二種類の異なる基板を必要としたが,MAIRS法では光に透明な基板一つから,二種類のスペクトルを同時に引き出すことができる.このため,従来不可能とされてきた,非金属基板上での純面外スペクトルの測定に世界で初めて成功した. また,この理論を発展させ,面内スペクトルを更にx,y二つの軸に分解し,Cartesian座標での3次元スペクトルを得るアルゴリズムも構築した.この結果,配向状態が明瞭に議論できるだけでなく,無配向試料を実験的に無配向であると断言できる道が拓かれた.
また最近,この技術を生命化学に応用し,ロイシンファスナー機構を持つ分子集合系の解析に適用した.その結果,これまでいかなる方法を用いても実証できなかった分子ファスナーの存在を,はじめて明確にスペクトル変化として捉えることに成功した.
本課題は,平成15年度以来,世界各地の国際学会から招待講演となっているほか,平成16年度のJSTさきがけ研究にも採択され,確実に萌芽研究の成果が認められつつある.
