Research Abstract

色素増感太陽電池への応用については、緻密な酸化亜鉛薄膜をボトム層として形成した後にポーラス層を積層する多層化により、D149色素を用いた場合の変換効率が4.8%(AM1.5,100mW cm^<-2>)に向上した他、従来は利用出来なかった近赤外光を吸収する増感色素を見出すなどの成果を得た。一方動作安定性に問題があり、グローブボックスを導入して脱水、脱気下でセルを作製したところ、安定性が向上した。三電極系でIMPS測定を実施し、電荷輸送特性の電極電位依存性を調べたところ、膜の底部およそ0.5μmは比較的緻密で電場の影響を受ける一方、上部の多孔質層では拡散による電荷輸送であることを確認した。
有機分子とのハイブリッド電析の新たな展開として、アルコキシド由来のアルカリ性チタン酸溶液にハイドロキノンを添加した浴からチタン酸/キノンハイブリッド膜のアノード析出が起こり、この膜の熱処理によって緻密な構造を有するアナターゼ酸化チタン薄膜を得る手法を確立した。同手法はNb_2O_5,Ta_2O_5,Al_2O_3,SiO_2などの通常電気的に絶縁性の金属酸化物の電析に応用出来る。
酸化亜鉛薄膜の新しい機能化の試みとして、希土類錯体で表面修飾することによる発光デバイスの作製に成功した。異なる配位性部位を1分子内に有するブリッジ配位子として、ビピリジンジカルボン酸(dcbpy)を用い、これを添加した電解浴からZnO/dcbpyハイブリッド膜を得た後、EuCl_3等の希土類塩溶液に膜を浸漬するのみで、大気中で長期保存しても安定な強い可視域発光を示す薄膜が得られる。さらにこの薄膜にp-CuSCNなどのホール輸送層を積層することで、電荷キャリアに無機半導体を用い、発光中心に有機金属を用いた新種のハイブリッド型EL素子を構築出来る可能性が示された。この成果は速報誌に報じた他、基本原理に関する特許出願(PCT出願予定)を行った。
