Research Abstract

研究代表者らは多核遷移金属錯体として硫黄の強固な架橋能に着目した硫黄架橋2核ルテニウム錯体を選び、この2核錯体を用いた時にのみ特異的に進行する新規な触媒反応の開発に既に成功している。触媒量の硫黄架橋2核ルテニウム錯体存在下、プロパルギルアルコールが種々の求核試薬と反応し、対応するプロパルギル位置換生成物を高収率かつ高選択的に得られるプロパルギル位置換反応がそれである。化学量論反応および触媒反応の結果から、本触媒反応はその興味深い反応性を示すことが知られていながら、触媒反応の鍵中間体として用いられることが無かったアレニリデン錯体を経由して進行していることが明らかになった。これらの研究背景を踏まえ、上記の触媒反応の鍵中間体となっているアレニリデン錯体に着目し、この興味深い錯体の反応性を利用した新規触媒反応の開発をさらに精力的に行うこと、また、その反応機構について理論計算からのアプローチを含めて詳細に検討することの2点について研究を行った。
昨年度までの研究として「アレニリデン錯体を鍵中間体として利用する新規触媒反応」の開発を行ってきたが、引き続き新規触媒反応の開発に関する検討を行った。また、上記の反応のうちの最も代表的な反応系である触媒的なプロパルギル位置換反応に関する理論計算による昨年までに得られた反応機構の知見(東京大学大学院理学系研究科教授中村栄一先生との共同研究)に基づき、より詳細な反応機構の解明と「なぜ、二核錯体を用いた時にのみ触媒反応が進行するのか?」という本質的な命題の解明を試みた。一方、昨年度開発に成功したエナンチオ選択的なプロパルギル位置換反応の適用範囲について詳細に検討を行った。さらに、この不斉合成反応に用いることのできる求核試薬の種類の適用範を現在の炭素原子求核試薬であるケトン類からアルコール、アミン、チオールなどのヘテロ原子求核試薬への拡大を検討した。
