Research Abstract

本年度は,本プロジェクトにおいて継続的に整備を進めているシミュレーションライブラリの拡充を図るとともに,特に(1)Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)への適用によるその有効性の実証と,(2)昨年来研究を進めてきている画像の超解像変換への適用を行った.(1)については,最適化問題を解く上での並列的な多点探索手法であるPSO法を,画像の補間アルゴリズム中のパラメータ最適化に応用し,最適化されたパラメータを用いた補間アルゴリズムにより,従来法に比べてフルカラー画像の補間品質を向上させることが出来ることを示し,国際学会に報告を行った.また,PSOを画像の内容検索における類似度評価アルゴリズムのパラメータ最適化にも応用した.使用者が着目している種類の画像の類似度に基づく辞書画像の類似度ランキングを示し,教師付き学習形式でパラメータを最適化することにより,所望の画像特徴に基づく類似度評価を行うことが出来るようになることを示した.この成果は,現在国際学会論文として投稿中である.(2)については,昨年までの研究を進め,監視カメラ等の比較的低解像度の動画観測環境を想定し,複数の時間的に連続するフレーム中に観測される対象を,位置合わせを行うことで多くの標本値情報(ピクセル)から不均等補間を利用して画像の解像度向上を図る方式を提案した.この成果は国際学会で報告を行った.本年度は,本研究テーマの最終年であり,3年間で得られた結果を総括すべく,学会論文誌への投稿を現在準備している.
