Outline of Annual Research Achievements

前年度に引き続き、結晶構造内の格子欠陥である転位(転位線,dislocation)の密度分布およびダイナミクスに関する数学的研究を行った。これまでの研究をさらに発展させ、minimising movement の手法を用いて、壁のある状況下およびより一般の相互作用ポテンシャルのもとでの、精密な螺旋転位の密度分布の漸近形を得ることに成功した。また、より現実に近い状況として、壁のある状況下での刃状転位の集積の様子を数学的に精密に調べた。それらの成果の一部については、2編の学術研究論文および1編の国際会議のProceedingsとして発表したほか、国際会議CoMFoS17などで成果発表を行った。
また大学院生との共同研究で、より一般の多数の粒子系を対象に、相互作用ポテンシャルと外力ポテンシャルで記述された有界領域に閉じ込められた複数の粒子の挙動を数学的に調べた。得られた支配方程式は不連続な常微分方程式系で記述されるシステムにもかかわらず、ある一般化された弱い意味での解が一意的に存在することを証明した。これはよく知られた常微分方程式の理論である古典解の存在定理(コーシー・ペアノの定理)や一意存在定理(ピカール・リンデレフの定理)が適用できない例であり、それらのある種の一般化になっているという意味で興味深い問題である。さらにその応用として、非凸な領域を含むいくつかの領域形状と外力ポテンシャル下で様々な数値計算例を構成し、それらについて考察を行った。
