Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究題目では「次世代ダイヤモンドマイクロエッジ形状の自律校正」について取り組み,反転エッジ形状を利用した工具刃先のマイクロエッジ形状の新規な自律的測定法を確立し,その有効性を実験的に検証することを目的としている.本研究題目では,ダイヤモンド工具刃先のマイクロエッジを軟質金属表面に押し込み,表面に形成される反転エッジの形状とダイヤモンド工具刃先の形状から測定に起因する誤差を分離することで,マイクロエッジの自律的な絶対形状測定の算出を行う反転エッジ作動法の提案と検証を実施する.工具刃先マイクロエッジおよび反転エッジの形状は原子間力顕微鏡(Atomic force microscope: AFM)により測定し,それぞれの測定結果との比較からAFMプローブチップおよび測定の誤差を評価し,それぞれの絶対形状を取得する.
平成28年度は高精度反転エッジの形成と反転エッジ作動法の実行可能性を実験的な検証を実施するために,高分解能反転エッジ形成システムの構築に取り組んだ.超精密インテンデーションシステムと高分解能変位検出システムにより構成された高分解能反転エッジ形成システムを開発し,軟質金属表面への反転エッジの形成および反転エッジ作動法による工具刃先マイクロエッジとAFMチップの自律的な形状計測を行った.その結果,本研究題目で開発した反転エッジ作動法はサブナノメートルの精度でそれぞれの形状を計測できることが実験的に確認され,本研究課題の目的であるダイヤモンド切削工具マイクロエッジの絶対形状の高精度計測に関する有効性が確認された.
