Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は、1次元構造を有するSiナノワイヤを主体としたナノ構造太陽電池セルに関して変換効率の向上に重要な短絡電流、開放電圧、および構造因子について詳細に調べ、変換効率を向上させるためのセル構造の最適化を行なった。I-V曲線を解析することでナノ構造太陽電池セルにおけるシリーズ抵抗及びシャント抵抗の原因を明らかにした。光誘起電流をより効率的に取り込むために、従来の櫛形電極ではなく、ハニカム構造を有する微細なマイクログリッドを利用した新たな電極を開発した。
以上の技術を利用して、Siナノワイヤ構造上にPEDOT:PSSポリマーを塗布し、異種ヘテロ接合によるpn接合を形成した。セル特性評価を行った結果、短絡電流34.07 mA/cm2、開放電圧0.54 V、曲線因子56.5%、変換効率10.4 %を得た。更に、0次元のSiナノ結晶(直径は3-4 nm)を利用した新たな太陽電池セルの形成も行った。Siナノ結晶を利用すると、Siナノ結晶からのエネルギー移動を利用でき、太陽電池の変換効率を増大させることができる。そこで、Siナノワイヤ上にSiナノ結晶を塗布し、引き続きPEDOT:PSSポリマーを塗布したセルを作製した。Siナノ結晶からのエネルギー移動の効果により、最大変換効率13.7%を得た。
上述のSiナノ構造/ PEDOT:PSSポリマー太陽電池に加えて、遷移金属酸化物であるMoOxを利用した新しい太陽電池セルを作製し、セル評価まで行った。その結果、短絡電流34.49 mA/cm2、開放電圧0.51 V、曲線因子70.0%、変換効率12.4 %と高い性能を得た。
