Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、高密度ガスのトレーサーである、CO(4-3)やCO(3-2)などを同時受信できる装置をASTE望遠鏡に搭載し、ASTEから観測可能なLIRG 103天体の分子ガススペクトルを取得し、銀河衝突における星形成活動・AGNと高密度ガスの関係を調べることを主目的とする。
当該年度においては、さらなる高性能化を狙い、DSBミキサデバイスの回路を更新した。その結果、RF周波数275-500 GHz全帯域にわたり、量子雑音(hf/kB)の2倍から3倍以内の雑音温度を達成した。この結果は2つの受信バンドを1つのミキサでカバーしたことを実証するものであり、世界的にも初の成果である。また、今年度はDSBミキサのIF広帯域化も進め、3-22 GHzに渡って低雑音性能を達成した。さらに、上記DSBミキサおよび昨年度までに開発した導波管コンポーネントも含めRF周波数275-500 GHz + IF周波数3-22 GHzの2SBミキサ測定系整備を進め、超広帯域2SBミキサの原理実証を完了した。以上の成果について、主要な国際会議での成果発表、国内学会でも積極的に発表を実施した。
一方、観測面においては、ASTE望遠鏡の装置トラブルによる遅延が発生したため、予定していた天体観測が実行できなかった。既存のデータを使った解析や論文執筆に向けた準備や議論は、国内外の共同研究者と共に進めている。

3: Progress in research has been slightly delayed.

Reason

装置開発および性能評価は順調に進んでいるが、観測においては、ASTE望遠鏡の装置トラブルによる遅延が発生し、年度内に予定していた観測が実行できなかった。そのため、現状では、データ収集が遅れている状態である。

Strategy for Future Research Activity

予期せぬ望遠鏡の装置トラブルにより、予定されていた観測に大幅な遅延が発生したため、今後は、実施予定であった観測 、データ解析、および論文の執筆に取り組む。観測の準備や実行は、研究代表者(伊王野)が研究分担者(小麥、菊池)と協力して行い、得られたデータの理論考察は研究代表者(伊王野)が研究分担者(武藤)と協力して進める。
