Outline of Annual Research Achievements

海嶺と島弧でおこるマグマ活動は，マントル-地殻間の物質循環において最も激しく元素の分別を引き起こす過程である．海嶺のマグマ活動は，40億年間でマントル全量を枯渇させ，島弧のマグマ活動はマントルと海洋地殻から大陸地殻を分化させてその残渣をマントルへリサイクルする．本研究は(1)海嶺-海洋島-島弧玄武岩とそれに含まれるカンラン石メルト包有物の主成分・微量成分化学組成とSr-Pb同位体組成を測定し，そこで起こる元素分別の多様性を解明する．その結果とグローバル全岩地球化学データベースを活用し，(2)海嶺-島弧系のマグマ生成の物理化学過程をモデル化して元素分別の定量モデルを構築する．(3)この元素分別モデルをもとに，海嶺-島弧系マグマ活動が地球史におけるマントル-地殻進化にはたす役割を定量的に解明した．
【1】島弧・海嶺・海洋島玄武岩の試料分析
平成28年度に採取し，平成29年度に試料調整した玄武岩試料石基ガラスとかんらん岩メルト包有物の質量分析計による局所元素・同位体組成分析を実施し，データを収集した．【2】海嶺-海洋島の岩石学的フォワードモデルによる岩石データの解析
分析したデータならびに既存のデータベースをもとに，平成28年度に開発し平成29年度に論文を出版した断熱融解モデルを用いて，深部背弧，海嶺と海洋島のマグマ組成から，マントルの組成や融解条件を推定した．推定結果を用いて海嶺・海洋島のマグマ成因についての論文を執筆中である．【3】平成29年度に開発が完了し論文を出版した，島弧のマグマ生成のフォワードモデルと得られた分析結果，ならびに既存のデータベースを用いて，世界各地の島弧火山岩の解析を実施し，論文を執筆中である．
