| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Fukumitsu is studing Nuo opera of Guizhou. First I studied one Nuo opera, “Xuerengui Zhengdongzhuan ” . The rhythm of words in this are monotonous phrases is like 3,3,7,7(Shizanti). Traditional Chinese Drama has two type of verse. One is called“Qupaiti” Opera. Another is called“Bangzi“Shizanti” is older than “Bangzi”, and probably is the origin of“Bangzi”. So,The distance of “ Shizanti”and“Qupaiti”is not so far as we thinked.In Guizhou of Anhui province, I collected many scripts of “Liu wen long”opera. almost villages has own version of “Liu wen long”opera. I studied these scripts, and discovered that they can divide three groups. One is “Shizanti”, one is“Qupaiti”, and one is “Gaoqiangti”.
Kato studied “Jingju”, “Kunju”, and “Mingqingyue” in Japanese. And he held symposiums on this theme. He also held performances of “Jingju”,“Kunju” in Meiji university Hall.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の学術的意義として、斉言体と楽曲系の演劇が自由に入れ替わることができるのであれば、中国演劇の歴史も再度見直す必要が出てきた。宋・金・元の時代にも斉言体の戯曲の上演が行われていた可能性も指摘できるようになった。また、斉言体・高腔系・楽曲系の三層が、同じ「劉文龍」曲の中にあるので、研究をさらに続ければ、南戯の歴史に新しい光をもたらす可能性が出てきた。
また、中国人の学者を招いて国際的なシンポジウムを開いたり、明治大学で京劇・崑劇の上演会を開いて日本人に中国演劇の理解を深めてもらったりした。本研究は、単に座学の研究に終わるだけでなく、中国演劇を研究の成果を社会に還元するよう努力もした。
