Outline of Final Research Achievements

It is important issue of space science to characterize atmosphere of exoplanets by spectroscopic observation. In this work, we develop spectral disperser for exoplanet characterization. Optical design, test manufacturing of laminar and blazed flat grating by holographic technique. Machining is tested technique for small spectral disperser. Baffle and metal mirror are also studied.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の結果、複数の分光素子の開発方式(ホログラフィック加工平面ラミナー型反射分光素子、ホログラフィック加工平面ブレーズ型反射分光素子、機械加工超小型ブレーズ型(反射型)分光素子)を実証することができた。その結果、ブレーズ型のフライトモデルを開発することが期待できるようになった。これは、系外惑星の観測能力を高め、その特性の解明に寄与できると考えられる。
