Outline of Final Research Achievements |
To develop a personalized immunotherapy of lung cancer, we searched for a new tumor antigen specific to tumor cells. We collected peripheral blood mononuclear cells and malignant pleural effusion, and established primary cultures of cancer cells derived from pleural effusion. Whole-exome sequencing of mononuclear cells and cancer cells derived from the same patient identified 389 indels and 6616 SNPs. We found several candidates for new tumor antigens using the computational algorithm to identify HLA-binding peptides.
