Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In our research group we have studied a method to evaluate and estimate autonomic nervous activity using facial thermal imaging as measured by infrared thermography. Human autonomic nerves change according to various conditions and circumstances. Facial skin temperatures are well affected by the activities of autonomous nerves systems. Transmit autonomic nervous activity information obtained from skin temperature to myself and recognize own condition. We aim to prevent and reduce human errors and associated health hazard. I would like to develop the system that can be used in various situations like EEG and heartbeat.Currently, we are researching and developing three systems. 1. System for evaluating autonomic nervous activity from one facial thermal image, 2. Eye-wear type system, 3. Tracking type system.
