Grant-in-Aid for Research Activity Start-up
This research examined the concept of "moderne" in Herbart's pedagogy from the following viewpoints.(1) a reexamination of the "modern" pedagogical concepts, (2) a study of the concept of "Vollkommenheit" in Herbart's thought from a viewpoint of the philosophy of education.After this research we were able to see Herbart's pedagogy as "modern pedagogy" from various angles.
