Outline of Annual Research Achievements

医用超音波による高精度頭蓋内血流速度推定を目指して研究を進めてきた。本年度は超音波の頭蓋骨内伝搬について検討を行うため、昨年度から継続して皮質骨を伝搬する超音波について研究を行った。皮質骨は横等方性媒質として知られ、局所的に板とみなすことができる。皮質骨の中はガイド波が伝搬するため、その解析を行い、分散関係を知ることは皮質骨の状態を知るために重要である。今年度は特に計算時間・皮質骨の状態を知るのに重要な解像度の向上を目指して研究を行った。昨年度から開発してきたアダプティブ信号処理の一つであるESPRIT法を用いた解析手法において、その計算の大部分を固有値展開が占める。またESPRIT法を用いるためには測定対象のガイド波が何モード存在するかを事前に知る必要がある。モード数を推定するために昨年度は、複数回の固有値展開を繰り返す方法を開発した。しかし、前述の通り、計算コストが増加する。そこで、情報量基準を用いて事前にモード数を推定する方法を提案した。
上記の結果から、超音波診断装置を用いて、非侵襲に皮質骨の状態を知ることができる可能性が示された。皮質骨の状態を知ることで、皮質骨が薄い箇所からの頭蓋内イメージングや、骨内伝播による分散や減衰を補償する方法の開発が期待できる。
加えて、昨年度に引き続き、共同研究として超広帯域レーダによる非接触心拍間隔推定について取り組んだ。一般的な家庭や職場などでレーダを用いて人体の心拍間隔を推定する場合、レーダの視野内に複数の目標が存在するような状況を想定する必要がある。視野内に存在する複数目標を分離するには、アダプティブ信号処理が有効である。頭蓋内の血流速度推定を目指して行ってきた信号処理方法を応用することで複数人の心拍数を推定可能な方法を開発した。
