Outline of Annual Research Achievements

日本における出産後の女性の就業継続率はOECD諸国と比較して未だに低い。出産前後の就業継続を容易とする環境を整えることは、女性の企業における活躍にとって欠かせない。近年、日本政府は女性の活躍推進のため、様々な政策を実施してきた。しかしながら、こういった政策の評価は十分に行われているとは言い難い。これまで本研究プロジェクトでは保育の利用可能性が上がることの女性就業への影響や、休業中の所得保障を目的とした育児休業給付金の給付率引き上げをした法改正の政策評価を行ってきた。研究の成果はLabour Economicsなどの国際査読雑誌に掲載した。本年度は、これら政策により変化したと考えられる母親の就業形態や保育の利用が、子どもの発達にどのような影響を及ぼしたのかを検証した。また、育児休業制度などの子育て支援策が女性の労働需要に及ぼした影響についても検証した。出産前後における企業の雇用コストを引き下げることは女性の活用を促進した可能性がある。研究の成果は、Trans-Pacific Labor Seminar、Seoul National University Research in Economics 2nd Conference - Labor EconomicsやAsian and Australasian Society of Labour Economicsなどの国際学会で報告をし、国内外の研究者からフィードバックを得た。論文は国際査読雑誌に投稿中であり、今後も積極的に成果の公表を行って行く予定である。
