熱可塑性CFRPの機能的・力学的性能評価手法に関する研究

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成27年度に行った以下の①~③について英文誌への投稿を行い,論文が掲載された。これらの知見をもとに,より安全な複合材料構造の実現に向けて有益な知見を得るため,当初の予定を変更して④・⑤の検討を行った。
①炭素繊維テープ強化熱可塑性樹脂(CTT)の引張破壊挙動
②熱可塑性CFRPの電気伝導率
③熱可塑性CFRPの被雷時損傷メカニズム
④CTTの曲げ衝撃荷重下における挙動/高速度カメラを用いて衝撃荷重下における破壊挙動を観察,CTTを構成するテープの厚さと破壊挙動,およびエネルギー吸収量との関係について検討した。その結果,テープを薄くするほど衝撃強度は向上する一方,脆性的な破壊挙動になりエネルギー吸収量は低下することがわかった。これらの成果により,CTTを適用する部材の要求性能に応じて適切な厚みのプリプレグを使い分ける必要があるという,実用面で重要な知見を得た。
⑤熱可塑性CFRPの被雷後力学特性/プリプレグの薄層化による損傷の低減効果が被雷後の力学特性に与える影響について検討するため,熱可塑性CFRPの連続繊維積層板とCTT,さらには熱硬化性CFRPの連続繊維積層板を用い,模擬雷撃試験を行った。試験後の供試体については,超音波探傷や断面の顕微鏡観察を通じて損傷評価を行った後,4点曲げ試験により被雷後の力学特性評価を行った。得られた成果は以下の通りである。(1)熱硬化性CFRPでは大きな層間はく離が発生して力学特性が大幅に低下したが,熱可塑性CFRPでは層間はく離が発生せず,力学特性の保持率も向上した。(2)熱可塑性CFRPの連続繊維積層板とCTT,いずれにおいてもプリプレグの薄層化により残留力学特性が向上した。以上の成果から,薄層プリプレグの適用によって力学特性と耐雷性を兼ね備えた熱可塑性CFRPを実現し,採用することが実用上の雷対策における一つの有効な手段であることが示された。
