マルチスケール組織制御による汎用熱処理型マグネシウム合金展伸材の高強度・高延性化

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

高速押出し可能でかつ、高強度・高延性を示すMg-Al-Ca-Mn合金の開発を目的として、Mg-0.15Ca-0.4Mn(at.%, x=0.5, 1.0, 1.5)合金の押出し性に及ぼすプロセス条件の影響と、機械的性質に及ぼすAl添加量の影響を調べた。Mg-1.5Al-0.15Ca-0.4Mn合金は、均質化処理後に水冷し、出口速度60m/minの高速押出し加工に供すると、大きな熱間割れを生じる。一方、均質化処理後に空冷と炉冷を組み合わせることで、表面割れの無い美麗な押出し材を得ることに成功した。Mg-1.5Al-0.15Ca-0.4Mn合金は、高速押出し加工後の時効処理により、300MPa超えの引張強さを示すが、粗大なAl-Mn化合物を形成するため、延性は16%程度である。Al添加量を1.0%まで減らす(Mg-1.0Al-0.15Ca-0.4Mn合金)ことで、強度特性をほとんど劣化させず、延性を24%まで高め、6N01-アルミニウム合金押出し材と同等の引張特性の付与に成功した。
また、自動車のボディパネルにも適応できる、室温成形可能な汎用マグネシウム合金圧延板材の開発を目指し、Mg-2.7Al-0.2Mn(at.%)合金圧延材の室温張出し成形性や集合組織に及ぼすZnやCa添加の影響を調べた。Mg-2.7Al-0.2Mn合金圧延材は、強い底面集合組織を形成するため、室温エリクセン値はわずか3.0mmである。Caの単独添加やZnとCaの同時に添加により、底面集合組織は弱化するため、室温エリクセン値は改善する。特に、ZnとCaを同時に添加すると、Mgの底面が圧延方向・板幅方向に大きく傾き、室温エリクセン値が7.1mmまで向上することを明らかにした。
