Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Fundamental technologies for utilization of lectures recorded in various environments have been investigated. To deal with diverse lecture recordings including recorded materials in a class without enough recording environment, we have investigated: 1) clarification of recorded speech (e.g. enhancement of teachers’ speech, noise suppression), 2) automatic speech recognition of such diverse lecture recordings, and 3) technologies including spoken document retrieval for utilization and learning/educational support. Significant knowledge in these fields has been obtained.
