Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aims to show a model of ESD development based on integrated arts and sciences in the inner Tokyo Bay. As a natural science activity, monthly fish samplings have been carried out at an artificial sandy beach and a tidal flat in Furusato-no-hamabe-kouen, Furuhama Park, Ota City, Tokyo. For making Edomae-no-umi Manabi-no-wa, a community to discuss about sustainable use of Tokyo Bay, hands-on learning events and lectures were opened for members of local community regardless age and gender. Based on these activities and workshops, an initial framework of plan-making discussion of sustainable use of Tokyo Bay is shown.
