Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究は、近年身近な場所に触れることのできる自然とそこに棲む昆虫が少なくなったことに伴い、子どもたちの虫や自然に対する興味関心が薄れていることに関連するものである。音楽教材の代表的な童謡、”虫の声”を用いて、虫の鳴き声は実際にその歌詞にあるように聞こえるのか、実際の虫の声を録音して子どもたちが聞いてみて言葉にしてみるとどうなるのか、そのような活動を実践していくことで、子どもたちが実際の虫を見ることがなくても（虫が苦手な子どもでも）、虫の声を聞くことでその存在に気づき、身近な場所にも多様な生物が生きていることに興味を惹かれ、ひいては生物多様性への興味関心が感化されるものと思われる。
