Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Among many father initiatives, which were organized in West Germany since 1970’s, I selected “Father’s Action for Children” (about 50 branches) as subject of research, whose members were not only over 1000, but also whose structure and activities are regarded as representative self-help organization in civil society. Fathers discussed about men’s problems-relationships with their wife and partner, divorce, parenthood, education of children etc.-in this organization, its magazines PAPS and web pages, and further they lobby for issues based on these discussions. In this research, I made discourse analysis of PAPS, tried to trace their controversial activities and considered their possibilities and limits in all its bearing.
