Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Living (space) and tourism (space) are getting closer while tourism has been more advanced and popularised. It seems that urban space would be built based on the order of pleasure and recreational leisure activities including tourism. We, people, discover other place through tourism. We also discover our place through tourist’s gaze and communication with them. It would enhance our consciousness to and involvement into managing our urban living space. It might contribute to improve town-scape and relationship in neighbourhood community. However, it has simultaneously generated new conflicts. It is more significant to exert urban planning and place management embedding tourism point of view.
