Outline of Final Research Achievements |
French phenomenologist Merleu-Ponty has three papers on art. They are basically targeted at paintings. In his later years, Merleu-Ponty was greatly influenced not only by Cezanne but also by Paul Klee. In Klee's paintings, music had an important meaning. However, in Merleu-Ponty's theory of art, music is not treated. So, I considered with Vladimir Jankélévitch who treats the music and also Michel Henry's "Voir l'invisible", which was close to music while not talking about it.
