Nishiyama Soin's chronological history investigation has been completed. The preparations to publish in fiscal year 2020 are being advanced. The 4 theses were published. These, through a series of biography study,the conventional Soin study was changed.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
研究代表者が編集委員をつとめ、本研究課題の基盤となった『西山宗因全集』全６巻（八木書店）は、連歌俳諧史の空白を埋める業績として高く評価され、平成三十年度芭蕉祭文部科学大臣賞を受賞した。本研究成果は、同全集に収録した諸資料を駆使したものであり、連歌俳諧研究にさらに寄与するとともに、近世初期の政治史や文化史の解明にも貢献する成果である。
