| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study applied an anthropological approarch to religion to understand religious diversities and clarify operational hurdles that multi-national companies face, in order to establish cross-cultural-religious management theory. It also aimed at making academic foundation for collaborative studies for nurturing global leaders.
Fieldwork was conducted in several companies and several countries such as Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malta, and collected data which would open the way to better understand different interpretations/attitudes among workforce on safety, hygiene, employment management, and working hour setting.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
成果のひとつは、「モノの修理」に関する認識の文化的な違いに注目し、勤続年数や仕事に対する責任の感じ方への影響について、「モノの供養」という宗教人類学的な視点を導入し分析することで、モノを製造し、流通させ、消費した後の二つの過程として、修理と供養を併置して検討する道を開いたことである。今ひとつの成果は、人々の移動が激しい現代社会において、職場において必要なスキルや良い人間関係を構築し、しかも臨機応変に即応可能な人材であり続けるためには、語学力や協調性といった日本のグローバル人材育成で重視される能力とは別の能力開発が必要である点を示したことである。
