The aim of this study was to explore “agency of home,” which is essential for home care, through interviewing older people about their memories of home and things.
During my research, I conducted research and interviewed with elderly people in Sweden, Denmark, Vanuatu and Japan. I've heard from the elderly about their memories of home. We also heard from care workers how retention of memories is associated with good care.
These results have been published in succession, and so far I have written six papers and three books. I have also made five conference presentations (One article and two books will be published in the future).
