| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Individuals' intrinsic motivation plays a crucial role in determining their behavior related to voluntary cooperation. One crucial issue is that their intrinsic motivation and behavior depend on social environments, such as geographical and historical backgrounds. This project has theoretically and empirically discussed how social environments relate to people's voluntary cooperation with the consideration of the roles of intrinsic motivation.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
自発的協力に関する研究の中で、本源的動機と社会環境の役割を体系的に検証した論文は少ない。そのため、本研究の理論課題では、本源的動機及び様々な社会環境の役割を明示的に導入し、自発的協力に関して理論的議論を試みた。また、本研究の実証課題では、現存する自発的協力問題に関して、現地でのフィールド実験やサーベイ調査を実施し実証的に分析し、実際の社会環境と本源的動機の関係性を明らかにすることができた。理論分析に加えて、現地での社会調査等を通じた実証分析を行うことによって、人々を取り巻く社会環境に適した自発的協力促進に資する有効な政策のあり方を提唱でき、この点においても、学術的・社会的意義がある。
