| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We created a program for junior high school students to learn self-management, adequate coping, and problem-solving procedure in stressful situations, based on the concept of cognitive behavioral therapy. Since the program is to be conducted by homeroom teachers, we held workshops to train them in a pilot school. We facilitated diffusion from the attendees to other teachers. In the pilot school, the teachers conducted classes in line with the program. Students who attended these classes completed self-administered questionnaires before and after the program period. The depression level in the high score group statistically significantly decreased, while no change was observed in the low score group. The score for scholastic adjustment statistically significantly increased in the pilot school, while significantly decreased in a school where the program was not conducted.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
抑うつ感得点がカットオフ以上の生徒は抑うつ得点が統計学的有意に減少し、カットオフ以下の生徒はレジリエンスを導く心性を示す得点が統計学的有意に上昇した。これは、本プログラムの有用性が実証されたとともに、クラス全体で授業を実施する意義を説明していると言える。さらに本授業を実施した生徒の学校適応を示す得点が有意に上昇し、受けなかった生徒のそれは上昇しなかったことから、学校適応の面からも本授業実施の意義が見いだされた。しかし、学校適応上昇が、ストレスマネージメント力の上昇による点が大きいのか、評価されない環境下で級友で意見交換する授業スタイルがより関連しているのか見極めることが出来ず検討課題となった。
