Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychological traits predicting the conviction of offensive cognition. This research shows that the metacognitions of "uncontrolability and danger" and "need to control thoughts" enhances the conviction of offensive cognition.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
加害感とは社交不安の一群の症状であるが、他の人から否定的な評価を受ける恐れについての側面に主に注目が集まる一方、他の人をいやな気持にさせてしまうことへの恐れについては、症例研究が主で実証的研究がほとんどなかった。本研究は、加害感に関する数少ない実証研究であるとともに、確信の度合いがなぜ高まるのかを明らかにしようとしている。確信の度合いを低減させる方法の方向性を考える際の一助となると考えられる。
