Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to produce directly ethanol from unused lignocellulose resources, a heat-resistant ethanol fermented filamentous fungus mutant strain which increased fermentable temperature of ethanol fermented filamentous fungus and improved cellulase secretion ability by carbon ion beam mutagenesis with a dose of 2,500 Gy, was constructed. By CBP process utilizing this strain, we successfully produced ethanol directly from α-cellulose in an environment at 45℃.
