Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study used mouse cerebellum as a model system, and examined the hypothesis that clustered protocadherin (Pcdh) specifies fine neural circuit. This study revealed novel molecular mechanism contributing cerebellum formation and motor learning. It is discovered that Pcdh is crucial for regulation of neuron number, neuron density, and neuronal spatial distribution in cerebellum formation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
