Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this study, we tried to clarify the function of phospholipase Pah1 on cytokinesis in fission yeast. Since pah1 is essential gene, we constructed some pah1-conditional knock out strains. However, pah1 condisional knock out strain constructed such as (1)pah1 degron strain, (2)uracil regulatable pah1 strain, and (3)tetracycline regulated pah1 repressible strain did not work well, and thus functional analysis of Pah1 is not completed yet. To elucidate the function of pah1, pah1 temperature sensitive strain should be obtained.
