Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We generated a transgenic silkworm expressing a cDNA construct containing fibroin L-chain fused to a single-chain variable fragment (scFv)derived from aMAb against influenza virus. The transgenic cocoons were dissolved in aqueous lithium bromide solution, the specific binding of scFv-conjugated affinity silk solution for the target influenza virus protein was verified by ELISA. We demonstrated that the transgenic silk protein could be used as antibody for capturing and detecting influenza virus protein in ELISA system.
