Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, we have reformed our previous cisplatin sustained-release formula (gelatin microspheres incorporating CDDP: GM-CDDP) and we have developed novel formulation (gelatin hydrogel granules with incorporated cisplatin; GHG-CDDP) without using organic sorbent and which accomplished complete sustained release with only <2% initial burst. By intraperitoneal injection, good therapeutic effect was achieved with less systemic adverse effect such as body weight loss or renal toxicity in murine peritoneal carcinomatosis model.
