Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The objective of this research is to improve accuracy in analyzing degraded DNA samples. We researched Japanese population genetic data of 19 insertion-deletion polymorphisms and 11 X-STRs in X chromosome using newly developed multiplex PCR systems. We investigated suitable parts for DNA analysis from hard tissues and researched the optimal conditions of decalcification in DNA extraction from skeletal remains.
