We developed decision-making system in perinatal periods based on shared decision model in which women with mental health problems can share opinions with psychiatrists and make decisions. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of the system. We made a manual for professionals and performed a randomized controlled trial. We demonstrated that this model can improve the drop-out ratio of the treatments in perinatal periods, women's mental health, the drop-out ratio of the medications. We also performed the workshop of the decision-making system in perinatal periods to disseminate our research.
