Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Apoptosis quantitative imaging method (ASM method) for 3T MR device based on MRI diffusion weighted image was developed using RESOLVE method. The experiments using bio-phantoms containing cultured tumor cells clarified that the ASM method can analyze minute restricted diffusion like apoptotic bodies with high resolution on the order of 1 micrometer. The ASM method could visualize restricted diffusion as same as diffusion kurtosis imaging. The ASM method might be promising as a new imaging method for restricted diffusion like apoptotic bodies.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
