Outline of Final Research Achievements |
<Clinical research> We have performed diffusion tensor MRI to eight patients (six cubital tunnel syndrome patients, one spontaneous anterior interosseous nerve palsy patient, and one spontaneous posterior interosseous nerve palsy patient). We concluded that interpreting signal changes for peripheral neuropathy that does not have change in the diameter of peripheral nerve is difficult at this point of time. <Basic research> We have evaluated our peripheral nerve injury model using clip at the Nukada Medical and Biological Research Institute. We have successfully established the injury model with high reproducibility. Although our grant period is over, we will continue our research using diffusion tensor MRI.
