Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to clarify the mechanism of COX-2 production via PAR-1 activation by kallikrein in human dental pulp cultured cells, and the interaction network of kallikrein and plasmin and bradykinin. Kallikrein increased the expression of COX-2 mRNA in a concentration- and time-dependent manner. Kallikrein promoted the production of COX-2 protein, and this effect was suppressed by PAR-1 inhibitor. In the search for the interaction by plasmin · kallikrein · bradykinin, the effect was not confirmed by intracellular Ca2+ concentration measurement. However, the stimulation of kallikrein and bradykinin enhanced the expression of COX-2 protein compared to when stimulated alone.
