We developed a reflection function in the nursing communication education support system such that users could experience nursing student and patient roles via an embodied avatar in a virtual hospital room to support education in nursing communication. This function allows users to learn communication skills from each person's perspective after role-playing. In order to verify the effectiveness of the reflection function, we conducted an evaluation experiment and showed its effectiveness. Furthermore, to confirm the effectiveness of this system in practical exercises, we conducted a questionnaire survey after a communication exercise with a simulated patient and showed its effectiveness.
